About Us

Our Humans.
Our Community.

We’re solving some of the biggest problems in education for Africa. We unite parents, teachers, community leaders, and innovators to nurture the next generation of problem-solvers for our communities.

Our Values Lead the Way.

Balancing Earth and Tech

We strive to harmonize technological advancements with responsible environmental stewardship, ensuring that progress benefits both humanity and the planet we call home.

Humane > Human

Identifying with Algo Peers starts with the fundamental connection of being human. However, we go beyond that; our benchmark is the embodiment of humane behavior within our social environment.

Education Beyond School

We value education beyond traditional schooling. While school provides a foundation, true learning extends beyond classroom walls.

Innovation Trumps Skills

We prioritize innovation over specific skills. While skills are valuable, the ability to think creatively and adapt to change is paramount to us.

Step out of the box!

Why confine yourself to a box? Don’t just think outside it – step out boldly! You weren’t born in a box, so why live like you are?

Don't Die A Copy

Encouraging originality is at the heart of our ethos. We embrace unique qualities, ideas, and perspectives.

Why We Exist

Founder’s Statement

Most people think Africa just needs more standardized classes. I believe that’s not enough. Our children deserve an education that speaks to who they are, where they come from, and the problems they want to solve.

At Algo Peers, we bring together educators, parents, community members, makers, and innovators to build learning that is culturally responsive and locally grounded. We keep it simple, hands-on, and personal. Low-tech when it works, advanced tech when it matters.

This way, kids don’t just sit in classrooms. They solve problems that matter to their communities. They don’t just learn. They create

Our Theory of Value

Rethinking STEAM Education for Africa’s Future

Africa doesn’t just need more classrooms or standardized lessons. It needs learning that honors who students are, reflects their communities, and equips them to solve real problems.

At Algo Peers, we reimagine STEAM education by combining culturally responsive design, practitioner-led learning, and research-driven tools that are rooted in local realities, ethnic and racial identity, and community knowledge.

How We Create Value

AI-Powered Personalized Learning

  • Adaptive AI tools create learning pathways tailored to each learner’s strengths, interests, and local context.
  • Every experience is culturally responsive, integrating identity and community knowledge so students see themselves reflected in their education.
  • Low-tech and high-tech solutions ensure equitable access across all schools, bridging resource gaps.

Practitioner-Led, Hands-On Learning

  • Engineers, innovators, and local makers lead workshops that connect theory to real-world problem-solving.
  • Students gain practical skills, mentorship, and confidence while tackling challenges that matter to their communities.

R&D-Driven Learning Innovation

  • We ask: How does learning happen? and build tools to match.
  • Our research spans learning science, media design, and educational technology innovation, ensuring tools and curricula fit how students learn, not the other way around.

Culturally Responsive Curriculum

  • STEAM programs are locally grounded, relevant, and flexible.
  • Curriculum development is a collaborative, open-source process that involves educators, students, families, and community leaders.

Evidence-Based Impact & Collaboration

  • Programs are continuously measured for problem-solving skills, creativity, and engagement.
  • Seamless data interoperability supports collaboration with governments, NGOs, EdTech partners, and local communities.

Sustainable & Climate-Conscious Solutions

  • We integrate low-tech, renewable, and regenerative technologies (e.g., e-waste refurbishments, solar-powered labs) to teach STEAM skills while modeling sustainability.
  • Students learn to solve climate and environmental challenges, creating a generation equipped to tackle Africa’s most pressing sustainability issues.

School-Driven, Transparent Funding & Investment

  • Programs are continuously measured for problem-solving skills, creativity, and engagement.
  • Seamless data interoperability supports collaboration with governments, NGOs, EdTech partners, and local communities.

Catalyzing Local Innovation

  • Algo Peers bridges global EdTech solutions with African contexts.
  • We create scalable, locally relevant innovations that drive social and economic impact while nurturing the next generation of problem-solvers.

Why It Matters

Western-imported, standardized approaches often ignore culture, identity, and local problems, leaving learners disengaged. Algo Peers flips the script: we personalize, localize, and empower. Students don’t just learn—they create, innovate, and transform their communities, with tools, curricula, and experiences designed for who they are and how they learn best.
